If you are looking for a loving, friendly, and trustworthy caregiver for your little one, call me to start a discussion. As a mother and teacher, I know about the deep level of care and commitment required to keep a child safe and to help him or her learn and grow. I believe in fostering children's curiosity. I'm a certified Literacy Specialist, so I often use literacy as a way to engage children. In our home, we focus on imaginative play; clear and reliable routines and expectations; and healthy living, like eating well and exercising. I keep a clean, pet-free home that is conveniently located in Portland. Presently, I'm looking for families who are willing to bring their children to me for in-home care, as I have my own little one. Shannon is an amazing teacher and an excellent caregiver. She is skilled with kids of all ages. When she's taken care of my son in the past she's done a great job of keeping him on his schedule and keeping him entertained with developmentally-appropriate games and activities. I'm always impressed at the effort she puts into finding new, fun activities for kids. She is simply fantastic!
