About Shannon

Hello! I'm Shannon. I am Currently pursuing my master's degree in occupational therapy (OT) part-time while also working as an OT aide in the acute care setting. My academic foundation of coursework in geriatric care is complemented by practical skills acquired through clinical rotations at an inpatient psychiatric hospital and home healthcare agency, as well as through my work as an OT aide. I am skilled in mobility assistance, functional transfers and in providing assistance with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, eating and medication management (excluding infusions). I am CPR certified, dementia training certified and up to date with Covid-19 and flu vaccinations. I am also confident in my skills and knowledge in emergency situation preparedness.
