About Shaquela

Hello families! My name is Shaquela, but I go by Shay. I'm a 28-year-old mother and certified elementary school teacher with years of experience caring for and educating children. I've been a mom for 6 years and have worked with kids professionally for even longer. I started tutoring K-2 students, then tutored with Cognitutor while earning my degree in Elementary Education. After graduating, I became a reading interventionist for grades 3-5, worked as a VPK assistant, taught 5th grade, and have been a 3rd grade teacher for the past 2 years. I also continue tutoring in the evenings. I'm passionate about child development, education, and providing a loving, supportive environment.
