I'd describe my personality as gentle, kind, and creative. I like working with kids because they inspire so much creativity and laughter! It's amazing to witness their growth as they mature emotionally and mentally. Caretakers get to walk alongside them as they discover who they are and the complexities of the world around them. I'm looking for a job that allows me to help others in need and to have fun along the way. I have a B. A. and I am currently taking online classes as prerequisites for a graduate degree, so I am looking for stable, consistent work for the next year several years while I am going back to school. I started working with kids when I was 30 years old. My neighbor and her husband both work evening shifts as peace officers and they needed consistent caregiver support for their 3-year-old son. Since then, it has been a joy to help them take care of the little guy and manage household chores like cooking and cleaning as needed.
