About Sheila

I have been in the food and hospitality business all my life, but I believe those "caring for people" skills translate perfectly to home companion. I am a mother of a special ed. child who has successfully transitioned to a therapeutic high school, so I am very familiar with caring for special emotional and sometimes physical needs. My own mother is 93 and has Alzheimer's. My twin sister cares for her full time but I visit often. I applied for a home companion job, and was given the job but the woman suffers from bi-polar disease and at the last moment rehired her old aide, so I know I am qualified to give nurturing care without being patronizing.
