About Sheila

Hi! I'm a current Macalester College Spanish and Sociology major who is passionate about working with kids. I have 4 years of experience as a summer camp counselor and one year of experience in after-school programming. My background has given me substantial practice coming up with engaging, creative, and educational activities for kids of all ages. I have received extensive safety and childcare training, including CPR and First Aid. I love cooking and baking and know how to teach age-appropriate food-safety skills to cook with kids. Another passion of mine is helping kids explore the world outside-- this fall, I'm taking a course specifically on Outdoor Environmental Education, so I have lots of new activities to try out!
