About Shekinah
My interests involve reading and writing, nature walks and photography. I am a lover of all art forms especially music, drawing, and photography. I also enjoy working with children. I am the oldest of 5. 4 girls and 1 boy. I am 13 years apart from my youngest sister. My experience with children started with my siblings of course, then gradually I began watching children in Children's Church on Sunday. I worked with children 3 to 5 and then I progressed to caring for ages 7 to 10. I am from Florida, I just recently moved to Philly last year in July. I worked for an Ameri Corp program called City Year. There I provided academic interventions for fourth graders who were behind in math, literacy and social emotional learning. After my year of service I became a financial coach, coaching 16 to 22-year-old students about financial stability. I am attending Saint Joe's University to get my Master's in Writing Studies. I graduated from Florida State University with my BA in Creative Writing
