About Shelby

Hello! My name is Shelby. I am a 24-year-old woman looking to share and grow my experience as a caregiver. Back when I was in high school, I would babysit regularly for a family that I am still in contact with to this day. I cared for three sisters of varying ages. I continued to babysit for them throughout my time in college. I graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2019 with a degree in special education. I taught for 2 1/2 years following that, which gave me experience working with children as young as 4-6 and as old as 17-18. I have been considering a degree in social work in the future. I am looking to become a nanny/babysitter as I feel it would be an enjoyable career and would give me valuable experience. I have a warm, bubbly, and gentle personality, and it especially shines when working with children. I love to see them learn new things and have new experiences that will help them grow.
