About Shelby

**Special Needs Sitter** My name is Shelby and I am an online social work student through Appalachian State University. I have worked 1:1 with children and teens with Autism for over two years now, and my overall professional childcare experience exceeds three years. I understand the attention required when caring for a child with an Autism diagnosis. I have worked around a variety of behaviors including, but not limited to: running away, biting, hitting, pushing, spitting, kicking, property damage, tantrums, etc. I have taken a course in Safety Care and am certified in CPR/First Aid through the Red Cross. I am looking for part time and/or long term work. I would love to work full time, such as while you go to work, but I am also available for things such as date nights. I have experience with children aged 2 to 13, but am open to working with all ages. I truly love working with children, and I look forward to meeting your family!
