About Shelby

Hi! My name is Shelby, and I am a 32-year-old mother of 1. I first began babysitting at 12 years old, and have loved to take care of children ever since. After several smaller nannying and babysitting jobs throughout the years, I became a traveling teacher while I was in college, teaching STEM skills to children throughout CT, aged kindergarten to fifth grade, using Legos. My latest experience was as a substitute teacher in a private school in Orange, CT. There, I gained a wide range of knowledge on how to lead and teach small classrooms of 10-25 children at a time, while working with children ages 4 to 13. I have a college degree and took specialized coursework in human development through the lifespan. I also have reliable transportation, a flexible schedule, and plenty of references upon request.
