About Shereen

It is hard to find words to describe how amazing Shereen is. She has been a part-time nanny for our daughter from age 6 months to 16 months and truly feels like part of our family. She is warm, playful, grounded, and confident, while also meticulous about safety and incredibly attentive to the changing needs of a baby/toddler. We would recommend her to anyone looking for wonderful care for their little ones and a thoughtful partner in your parenting journey. Shereen has a way of connecting with kids that put us immediately as ease. She delights in everything that makes our daughter who she is, and crafts their days around what will keep her happy, entertained, and engaged. Our daughter is deeply bonded with her — one of her earliest vocalizations was “shh shh,” an attempt at “Shee Shee,” always said with the most excited smile on her face. We trust Shereen completely, and it has been a gift as new parents to feel as calm and confident as we do leaving our daughter with someone else. Shereen experienced so many firsts with us, from starting solids to building sleep habits to learning to crawl, walk, talk, and dance! We have often turned to her personal experience as a parent, as well as her professional experience as a preschool teacher and nanny to other families, for guidance. She always brings knowledge, empathy, humor, and reassurance to these conversations, and shares our joy in watching our daughter become more herself every day. She is a fantastic communicator, easy to plan and schedule with, and has captured some our of favorite photos of our girl during their adventures together, which make our days every time we receive them. She is also just a good human being, with values and a love for others that comes out in her daily work and benefits both the children and adults she spends time around. We will miss seeing Shereen every day (in fact, we keep dragging out our transition into daycare because we aren’t ready to say goodbye), but we are excited for the next families that get to experience her magic in their homes.
