My name is Sheyenne, and I have been a Professional Nanny, Night Nanny and Household Employee since 2010. I have since expanded my knowledge and deepened my passion for caregiving over the years, working with newborns - young adults, multiples, special needs and elder care.

Shy provided excellent care for our three-month-old son over two months, working 2-3 nights per week. Shy is reliable, punctual, and knows infant care inside and out. When we were first-time parents desperately looking for help, she was responsive and patient, helping walk us through the process every step of the way. As we figured out what help looked like for us, she was willing to be flexible and accommodate to our needs.  She even gave us doggy bags as an eco-friendly solution to put diapers in to help with the smell!  We'd definitely recommend Shy for any nighttime nanny role.

Shy babysits for my 6 month old daughter and I trust her completely and know my baby is in good hands when Shy is over. She has a calming and kind presence and is genuinely a pleasure to speak with. She has so much empathy for my daughter, even if she’s fussy or teething Shy is patient and gentle with her. She does bath and bed time, bottle time, play time, she really knows what she’s doing I can’t recommend her enough.

Shy has been babysitting our one-year-old for date nights since he was about 6 months old. Recently, we went on our first overnight trip and we trusted her to babysit him for an entire weekend and it was a great experience. Shy is the definition of professional. Shy is a true professional. Knowledgeable of all developmental stages and really in tune with kids needs and the why behind their behaviors. She is calm, positive, and a mother herself, which allows her to relate to you as a parent. She came in and on day 1 helped support our family as we relocated to Austin. We have had to move a few times, and she’s been flexible as we adjust to new commutes, work schedules, travel, etc. With all the changes in our move, we wanted our daughter to have stability in us and her care during the day. Shy gave her that and we are so grateful. When booking Shy for a one off date night or full/part time care you get more than just excellent childcare, you have an expert in her field of work and this gave us so much peace as first time parents. We are forever grateful we found her! We are transiting our daughter to daycare and will continue to work with Shy for date nights and hope to bring her back if we’re able to have another child. From a nervous new mom, I assure you, you can’t go wrong!

   We are the parents of a special needs young adult who has seizures.  We have been very fortunate to have had Sheyenne as one of our regular sitters.  Sheyenne is talented, organized, caring and fun.   She is an asset to any family‘s caregiving team.
Our daughter is autistic, non verbal, and is still developing her fine motor skills.  Sheyenne always arrives promptly, and asks thoughtful questions.  She maintains communication during her time with our daughter, letting us know how her  schedule has developed and always checking in with us when she sees a different behavior  or a seizure .   Sheyenne’s experience and her communication style are exceptional.   In addition to managing her caregiving responsibilities, Sheyenne is also great fun for our daughter.  After a couple of evenings of music and games, our daughter began to greet Sheyenne with one of her rare autistic smiles.

Sheyenne has a kind and energetic personality; a comprehensive background in professional childcare; has a proactive approach to her responsibilities; and abundant practical knowledge on sources and methods.  Sheyenne was always extremely appropriate and respectful.  Sheyenne never came across a social situation that she didn't know how to handle when it involved multiple parents or children.  Sheyenne's evidence-based and quasi-Montessori-based care styled curriculum has undeniably made a positive permanent impact on my child's physical and mental development that stands out compared to other kids her age.  Our loss is truly your gain.  Without a doubt, Sheyenne is the best candidate one could be looking for as a Nanny.  She will be the best decision you will have made for a long time to come.

Stop and just hire Sheyenne (or as she's affectionately know Shy shy). Shy is an incredible nanny and my daughter loves her so much. She's patient, gentle, creative, flexible, and punctual.  She handles constructive criticism with grace and has a great upbeat attitude. My daughter was lovingly nurtured by her and is transforming into a kind, patient (as much as 2.5 can be) and potty trained toddler! She was worth every penny of investment.  Shy has set the nanny bar so high I don't think we will ever find someone as special as her.

If I were to write a description of the ideal nanny to care for my kids, I would be describing Sheyenne. Shy (as the kids call her) is loving, fun, creative and 100% dependable. She takes her profession seriously and is truly invested in the well-being, happiness and development of the children for whom she cares. She is so experienced and talented at her job, that I've found myself seeking her advice for how to handle the usual toddler and child challenges that come up. My children adore her and are always excited to spend time with her. If you are lucky enough to hire Shy, she will become your new bar for what excellent childcare can be.

Sheyenne is a parent's dream come true. She is loving, kind, smart, patient, fun... really everything you could want in a caregiver for your kids. Shey has had her hands full with our crew (my sister-in-law and I share her - 2 two-year-olds, a 6-year-old, and an 8-year-old) but she manages them with ease, empathy, and grace. In her care, my son has learned his ABCs, the sound of each letter, his colors, and more! My daughter has become more self-aware of her emotions, willing to talk about them and to articulate what she's feeling more often. Shey even inspired her to create what my daughter calls "confidence badges", reminding her to be kind, be brave, etc. We all adore Sheyenne, kids and parents alike, and think any family in the position to hire her should consider themselves lucky to have her. She is truly one of a kind.

Sheyenne is a spectacular nanny!  Her positivity, patience, and spunk we're just the recipe for our energetic, strong-willed, and curious kids.  Not only is she great with kids, but a hardworking and loyal employee (although she feels more like a family friend).  Her attributes include:
