I worked as a nanny for 12 years, when I was young. I cared for children from age 6months to 10 years old and loved it. I loved the activities we engaged in together such as going Putt-Putt golfing with a 5-year-old named S and a summer spent going to local public swimming pool with 8-year-old M and K and a few of their young friends, every day. I was told by all of the families I worked for that I was their child's favorite caretaker, so far, which was wonderful to hear (I really do love children). I'm too old for heavy lifting anymore, but I am able in all other respects. I look forward to being of service in the care of your family. I was an English major in college and attended American U., for one semester, the U. of Md., Montgomery College in Takoma Park and Rockville, and Agnes Scott College, in Atlanta, Ga. For some reason, this website keeps saying the school names I am entering are not valid. That its why I am entering them here.

I have been friends with Cathy since we were teenagers, a long time ago. When my husband and I had our second child, we turned to Cathy to help with childcare when I went back to work. She gave loving care to our little boy. I also watched in more recent years as she gave that same kind of tender care to her mother, whom she lived with when her mother could no longer be on her own, due to frailty and dementia. Cathy is an unusually kind and generous person who has always been partial to little kids and to elders. She enjoys helping others, cooking, and is a good listener. She was also friends with my late mother-in-law, with whom she shared an interest in politics and literature. I believe anyone would be fortunate to have Cathy help take care of them.
