About Sierra

Hello! I currently work as a substitute paraprofessional in d428. I have worked with the Gen Ed and Special Ed population for 3 years. Just like the Gen Ed population, I find it very important to foster a safe and loving environment for children with special needs while exercising skills in patience and de-escalation. My hobbies include dancing, drawing, reading, creative writing, photography, making herbal blends and tinctures, roller skating, listening to music and baking. As an educator, I understand the importance of incorporating learning into play through a variety of techniques. Bringing fun crafts and activities over is something I wouldn't mind doing as I love to engage with the kids. I can tutor and assist kids with assignments for subjects ranging from language arts, history, art, science and math.
