About Sierra

20+ years of experience in private, residential, home based, center based and Waldorf based child care. I take this role very seriously and will always offer co-regulation and connection before correction. Creating a space where children can be competent, curious, experiential, and free is very important, as well as allowing that environment to foster secure attachments between the child and I. I follow the principles of conscious discipline, and I will bring so much love and warmth into your family, it will feel like I've always been there. Imaginative play, dramatic play, and nature play are all core activities in my routine with children. Building confidence and trust through the emotional/physical support of developmental needs. I pull my collective care style from a blend of Waldorf, Montessori, Reggio Emilia Approach, and life experience. I adapt my care style to each child's personality, but the consistency, efficiency and compassion poured into my care does not waver.
