About Skye

I love working with kids because it is always the most rewarding job that I keep coming back to. So many of my previous students and kids have kept in touch and I love seeing them grow! I also have a 5-year-old little brother, so I'm constantly experiencing the joy and energy that only kids can offer. I started working with kids when I was about 14, at a summer camp for kids 5-10 yrs old. Then at 15, I began babysitting around the neighborhood. Learning that I loved working with kids, I kept coming back as a teacher's assistant with 10-14-year-olds for three summers from the age of 16-18. During my last summer at the program, my little brother was born, and I got even better at navigating life with young children around. Since then, I've spent countless nights babysitting him, and providing that care to other families. In my spare time, I love getting involved with theater, reading (books and comics alike!), drawing, playing video games, and doing the daily crossword!
