About Sonia

Greetings families. I'm Sonia -- Seattle native, world-wanderer, poet, English tutor (currently completing Level 5 TEFL program), stewardess of young minds, caregiver/nanny with 10+ years experience. I relocated to Eugene after having lived at Esalen Institute, a spiritual retreat center/intentional community, for several years. I began my graduate studies in the UOTeach program this past June of '21, but due to some unforeseen logistical/financial stumbling blocks, I made the decision to postpone my year of graduate study and focus on laying down roots here in Eugene. I love creativity, laughter, the outdoors, cooking, singing, swimming, poetry, the color purple, mindfulness, dance, yoga, Pixar, animals, the Pacific Northwest, and so many other aspects of being alive in a body on the planet earth.
