About Sophia

I really enjoy being with children and have been caring for children for 15 years. I love to read, tell stories, play games (imaginary is my favorite), cook, make art, go for walks, explore the outdoors, build forts and fairy houses and everything in between. I'm a musician and songwriter with experience teaching beginners' piano, guitar and voice. I have experience babysitting a variety of kids ranging in age from one year to 12 years old and nannying for longer periods of time for families with children ages 2-9. My father is a Waldorf teacher and modeled how to be with children in a joyful, creative and compassionate way. I went to a Waldorf school from pre-school through high school. I was one of those crazy kids who liked school and still do if you need someone to help with homework. I was very fortunate to have a wonderful childhood and I look forward to sharing the joy and beauty of learning and growing with your children.
