About Sophia

Hi, my name is Sophia! I am an upcoming junior at Salve University, majoring in elementary education and special education. My passion for working with children stems from a variety of experiences. For the past three years, I have been a summer camp counselor at a tennis camp in my hometown in Connecticut. During my time at the camp, I have worked with children ranging from ages four to 13. Additionally, I have babysat throughout my high school years for families in my town and worked as a nanny last summer for a family with children aged nine and 12. I also volunteer at Pell Elementary, where I work with first-grade children, ages six and seven. Currently, I am working full-time at a daycare. Although I do not have much experience working with infants, I have extensive experience with toddlers and preschoolers, including potty training. While elementary-aged children are my preferred career path, I love working with children of all ages! Looking forward to connecting!
