About Sophia

I enjoy working with kids because I believe that encouraging curiosity fosters a love for learning at an early age, setting little humans up for success and fulfillment later in life. I love encouraging children to follow their passions, pursue discovery, learn self-help skills, and develop love and respect for themselves and the world around them. I started working with kids from a young age, babysitting and volunteering in my mother's kindergarten classroom. In 2021, I became a preschool teacher full time. This past year, I taught at an outdoor preschool in Seattle! I am very passionate about getting kids outside and learning through nature. I've worked mainly with children aged 1-6, but I am not limited to this age group. I am currently a speech & hearing sciences post-bacc student at WWU, looking to go into pediatric audiology in the future. I'm looking for a job in a child-centered environment that complements my uni schedule. I am comfortable driving children when needed!
