I have solid references and I've been recently trained in infant CPR. I am creative, a little silly and a great listener! I value honesty and clear communication between myself and parents. You will never have to worry about me being late and I keep quite healthy and rarely miss a day of work. I have a Masters of Library Information Science and I've worked as a children's librarian. I love reading and getting outdoors as much as possible. With children, I mostly do the same! I've also taught music lessons and would love to help your child practice any instrument they might be playing. I have the energy and enthusiasm to keep children engaged and having fun. Sophie takes care of our three-year-old part-time, four days a week. In addition to the usual basics (school pickup, play dates, trips to parks and bookstores, etc.), she finds fun and creative ways to engage our child, like making puzzles, building miniature cardboard houses (complete with a miniature cardboard swing set), or bringing musical instruments from her collection. She's responsible, caring, patient and punctual, and she's very good at handling the challenges presented by the typical preschooler (potty training, tantrums, etc.). At bedtime, our child often asks "Is tomorrow a Sophie day?", and she's always happy when the answer is yes. It's tough leaving your kid with someone you don't know, but we feel safe with Sophie taking care of our little girl.
