About Sophie

Hi! I'm a 25-year-old from New Jersey who recently moved to Brooklyn. I've worked with children for about 10 years through babysitting (ages 12 months-12 years), camp counseling, and teaching art to kids ages 3-9. I have Fine Arts degrees in Painting from Rutgers and Illustration from Montclair State. I'm a vegetarian with a tree nut allergy, so I'm very mindful about food restrictions and safety. I enjoy walking, skiing, visiting art galleries, dancing, and karaoke. I've been an art director at a children's theatre camp and have consistently babysat for local families. As an art teacher, I taught drawing, painting, and sculpture, adapted lessons to each child, managed schedules and supplies, and supported behavioral needs. I love encouraging kids' creativity and engaging with whatever activities they enjoy most!
