About Sophie

Hello! My name is Sophie and I'm looking for a job taking care of 1-3 kids. I'd describe my personality as warm, encouraging, and patient. I like working with kids because I love to help them make new connections with the world around them, while giving them a safe space to be themselves. I started working with kids when I was around 12 years old, and have since become really interested in child psychology. I completed a Master's in Applied Developmental Psych in 2021 and am about to start a Doctoral program in Clinical Psych! In my spare time, I love spending time outdoors, writing songs and creating music with my fiancé, and laughing at my cats' ridiculousness. My skills include finding creative activities to engage kids in, being patient/helping de-escalate in moments of stress or anger, and bringing lightheartedness and goofiness into situations!
