About Spencer

I have spent the last 10 years working as a nanny and respite care provider for a family with 4 girls. When I started the youngest was 1 and the oldest was 9. The middle children are twins with special needs and were 7. I was responsible for daily after-school care, meal preparation, grooming/hygiene, transportation to activities, bedtime routines, and assisted in general housework/cleaning. I also worked with the twins on developing communication skills using ASL (very limited, non-fluent), managing emotions, toilet training, and addressed their moment to moment needs. I traveled with the family on vacations and provided overnight care as needed. When I left the kids were 11, 17, 17, and 19 respectively. I consider being a part of these kids lives, and witnessing them develop and experience every bit of childhood, to be one of the greatest privileges of my life. I am incredibly proud of my work with the twins and how I've helped them grow.
