About Summer

Hi, I'm Summer! My brother, 10 years younger than me, showed me from a young age how to care for children, and I've been babysitting for neighboring families ever since - 12 years of hands-on childcare experience. I completed 2. 5 years at UW-Stout majoring in Early Childhood Education, including 3 full semesters in a close-proximity classroom with 0-12-month-olds, 2-year-olds, and 5-year-olds - building skills in calming strategies, weaving learning into daily routines, and understanding how children's minds develop. I'm currently expanding my infant-care credentials: Infant/Pediatric CPR & First Aid certification in October, and a Newborn Care Specialist certification in November - ahead of seeking a full-time placement starting January 2027. I handle light housework (children's dishes, open to vacuuming, tidying up) and prepare meals and snacks to keep kids energized. I'm a caring, fun, reliable caregiver who'd love to be part of your family's daily life!
