About Susan

I am trained in art and design from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. I have worked in the fashion and home furnishings industry. I have a love of teaching and lifelong learning. I have a curious nature and enjoy exploring and sharing my knowledge with humans of all ages. I have taught art and cooking to elementary aged kiddos. I try to push their creativity and thinking skills. I also have tutored privately and in workshops for art, especially in ceramics. I have also taught college level design and illustration. I am personable, responsible, patient, and good under pressure. Although I have no kids or my own, I have many pets. I am owned by a tortoiseshell cat named Suki. I also have a betta named Clark, two sliders named Wilbur(ina) and Bud, and a colony of tiny orange shrimp!
