I have dedicated my life to caring for children, with over 43 years of childcare experience, including 35 years running my own home childcare and 8 years as a professional nanny.

I specialize in caring for infants and toddlers and love watching children learn, grow, and reach new milestones. I enjoy taking children on daily adventures to parks, libraries, story time, music classes, swimming, gymnastics, and other age-appropriate activities.

As a first-time mom, I was absolutely terrified to go back to work. The thought of leaving my baby with someone else felt impossible, until we found Sylvia. Hiring her was, without question, one of the best decisions our family has ever made.

For the past two years, Sylvia has provided our son with the most loving, attentive, and enriching care imaginable. She has treated him like her own, and the impact she’s had on his development has been incredible. His speech, social skills, confidence, and fine motor development are well beyond what we expected for his age, and we truly believe that’s a reflection of the nurturing, engaging environment Sylvia created every single day.

She goes above and beyond in every way. She organizes playdates with other wonderful nannies, takes him to adventurous parks, music classes, swim lessons, and even restaurants where he’s learned independence and confidence in new environments. Every day was filled with meaningful learning, exploration, and fun. Throughout the day, Sylvia kept me updated with photos and messages, giving me so much peace of mind while I was at work.

The love, patience, professionalism, and dedication Sylvia has shown our family are truly unmatched. Knowing our son was safe, happy, and thriving allowed me to return to work with complete confidence.

As our little boy transitions to school, we are incredibly sad to say goodbye to having Sylvia with us every day. She has become such an important part of our family, and anyone lucky enough to hire her will be gaining an exceptional caregiver who genuinely loves what she does. We cannot recommend Sylvia highly enough she is simply the very best.

Sylvia cared for both of my daughters from infancy until they started preschool. She is a nurturing, loving woman who just adores children. She is trustworthy, a great communicator, and so kind. My girls loved spending time with Sylvia and have such fond memories of their time with her. I can’t recommend her enough! 

Sylvia was very attentive to our daughter. She loved going to daycare. Sylvia’s was always personable and communicated my daughter’s day and activities to me and my partner. She loves what she does. We would recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and loving person to care for your child. 

Sylvia took care of both my children from the ages of four months to three years old. They loved her and she loved them. She always had such a clean, fun and welcoming environment. My children always loved being at her house with the delicious homemade food and fun outdoor play time. I always knew they were in great hands and am grateful to this day that we had her loving help and care. 

I highly recommend Sylvia to care for any child. I had the pleasure of having her care for my daughter for 2 years from age 18 months to 3.5 years. I truly cannot say enough positive things about her. I was impressed by her warm, nurturing demeanor and her ability to connect with my child. She has an innate talent for engaging with children, fostering creativity and encouraging them to explore the world around them. Her activities are always age-appropriate and educational, whether that’s through arts and crafts, reading time, or outdoor play. She is extremely attentive.
Sylvia is also very reliable and punctual. She has a strong work ethic and consistently goes above and beyond to ensure my child felt safe, happy, and engaged. I had complete peace of mind knowing that my child was in her capable hands. 
Beyond her interaction with the children, she also helped maintain a clean and organized environment, which greatly contributed to the smooth running of our daily routines. Sylvia was proactive in communicating about my child's day, providing updates on her progress and any areas of concern.
She is also very adaptable and patient, handling even the most challenging situations with grace and understanding. I have witnessed her de-escalate conflicts between children amicably and promote social skills and cooperation. Her love for children, dedication, and professionalism make her an exceptional caregiver. I am confident that she will be an asset to any family fortunate enough to work with her.

We were so lucky to find Sylvia when we needed a nanny for our then 2-year-old. Sylvia watched our daughter full time for ~2 years until she started going to preschool full time. Our daughter absolutely adored her! Sylvia took amazing care of our daughter - she would coordinate daily activities, whether that meant park playdates, indoor playgrounds, outdoor adventures, swimming or learning to plant and take care of flowers. She would also send lots of pictures throughout the day to capture these outings! I would highly recommend Sylvia if you’re looking for a nanny. Not only does she have extensive childcare experience and first aid/CPR training but she had such a profound impact on our daughter’s learning and development. We still keep in touch with her and she continues to be part of our daughter’s life even though she’s no longer our nanny.  

Sylvia has taken care of both my daughters from 6 months old to 4 years of age. She is amazing with children and it was so hard to move on from her when they started school. 😑 So many wonderful memories. We absolutely love you Sylvia! 🩷
