About Sylvia

I have worked in the childcare/education field for more than 10 years, recently holding the position, Child Development Director of an infant, toddler and preschool program before becoming a share care nanny for two families in San Francisco. I have always connected with children naturally, viewing each as a special individual deserving of love and respect. After spending many years caring for and educating others children, I took some time off to foster the development of my own young son. I have not only watched him learn and blossom greatly during this time, but have done so myself. Reflecting on years past serves as a reminder of what a difference one can make in a young child's life with love, intent, and patience. I'm TRULY passionate about children and seeking long-term employment with a compatible family. I am both comfortable and effective working with small groups of children due to my experience in a center setting, (infants 1:4 & Toddler/Preschoolers 1:8) and value the bonds and progress produced within a small children. I am experienced in creating creative curriculum monitoring growth and development and enjoy watching children explore and build self-esteem.
