About Tamara

I've cared for seniors since I was young, starting with my grandparents who raised me and later caring for elderly members of my church. I lived with and supported my former pastor's parents until their passing. His father had severe spasms, stiffness, and used a wheelchair, and his mother had dementia and needed daily hands on care. Though I am not a certified nurse, I learned a lot from their nurse who was only able to come for a few hours 3 days out of the week, so I could maintain their care independently while she was gone. I'm experienced with bathing, washing hair, changing briefs (including blowouts), clipping nails, cooking, cleaning, laundry, and providing steady companionship. I especially love connecting with those I care for even if I'm traveling back in time with someone who has dementia or Alzheimer's. I have a deep love for the elderly and take pride in offering patient, respectful, heartfelt care.
