About Tamia

I'd describe my personality as spirited, flexible, supportive! In my spare time, I like baking, gardening and weight training! I like working with kids because I love learning along side them. There's an opportunity for us to grow in all their big and little moments. I started working with kids when I was recommended to a children's ABA therapy clinic. Since then I have found a passion for early childhood development and play based learning! Currently, I am the Lead Therapy Facilitator in a school readiness program for special education students ages 3-7. My skills include providing the patience and compassion necessary to create an environment that teaches positive associations with learning. I am able to present exciting activities that align with the developmental goals that are specific to each child. I have experience creating opportunities for kiddos to grow their skills in communication, social/emotional interaction, fine/gross motor, and day to day task independence!
