About Tara

I have been a special education teacher for the last 20 years (seven in Norwood and the last 13 in Wellesley) and have masters degrees in moderate disabilities and reading. I have licenses in elementary education, special education, and as a reading specialist. I am also Orton Gillingham trained, as well as, trained in Visualizing and Verbalizing and other reading, writing and math curriculums (Wilson's Fundations and Just Words, UFLI, Edmark, and Leveled Literacy Instruction, Investigations, Bridges, Touchmath, etc). I am also a parent and know the way we can struggle helping our children learn to decode, read to comprehend and find joy, and problem solve as a math student. I am happy to help! In the summer we can work in a comfortable, individualized way where we aren't competing with the curriculum chase.
