I've loved working with animals for as long as I can remember. Ever since I was a child, I've had a passion for caring for them. My stepmother was a real estate agent, and through her work she often came across homes where animals had been abandoned. Instead of leaving them behind, she took them in and gave them a safe place to live or we took them to the rescue shelter. At one point, she had nine rescue dogs. I helped care for them by feeding, grooming, bathing, exercising, and making sure they felt safe and loved. That experience taught me patience and compassion.
