About Tawana

To describe my personality in three words would be loving, servant, and compassionate. My love for elderly people began when I was young. From my early years, I was taught to always be kind to elderly people and children. As a young adult, I became both a part-time and full-time caregiver for three of my grandparents. Caring for my grandparents at different stages of my life has been one of the most rewarding and precious things I've ever done. When I was a teenager, I had a sickly aunt. Whenever she fell ill, I would take care of her children. This experience prepared me for my role as a caregiver at Everyday Blessings and as direct staff at a safe home for trafficked boys. Both of these opportunities were rewarding, allowing me to briefly step into the role of a parent for children whose parents had challenges in parenting them. I am searching for an individual or family with whom I can provide valuable support while respecting my client's independence and dignity.
