1st job after closing my 16-year-old daycare was the care of a 75-year-old old woman who had Scleroderma disease. She passed from congestive heart failure. I wanted to be able to care for patients better, so I went to CNA school and received my certification for CNA and Home Health. My first CNA patient was a man with cerebral palsy thru an agency, and he was full bed care, with feeding tube, catheter, a-port, c-pap, bed baths, diapers, etc. I have been a caregiver most of my life as my Mom had 10 children by the time I was 11. They were my dolls, and I took care of my Mom till passing at 92. I took care as a live-in for 7 yrs. a dementia patient, and he passed at 94 years. They were the best years. Now, I have had many years and numerous patients. Some private care and many from agency. I look forward to caring for your loved one.
