About Tibisay

We have been so lucky to have Tiby working with our three daughters (ages 9, 11, and 14) for the past two years, and I truly cannot recommend her enough. She has been such a positive, consistent, and caring presence in our girls’ lives, and the impact she has had on their confidence and learning has been incredible. Tiby does so much more than just “tutor.” She creates thoughtful, engaging lessons that balance academic learning with creative and cultural experiences, which has been so meaningful for our family. She works with our girls on reading, writing, vocabulary, comprehension, conversation, pronunciation, and critical thinking, while also making lessons interactive and enjoyable through songs, games, art projects, hands-on activities, and sometimes even cooking. What I love most is that she doesn’t just teach in a textbook way — she helps them connect to the language and learning in a real, memorable way. She balances more structured, academic-style work with cultural lessons and fun activities, which keeps the girls engaged and helps them truly retain what they’re learning. She is especially wonderful at adjusting her approach for different ages, personalities, and learning styles, which is not easy to do with children who are 9, 11, and 14. She is incredibly patient, encouraging, dependable, and warm, and she has a special way of building confidence while still keeping expectations high. Our girls genuinely enjoy their time with her and always look forward to seeing her. Our oldest daughter is also completing an advanced Spanish online course for high school, and Tiby has been a huge support in helping her stay on track and work through more advanced material. Having someone who can support both younger children and a high school-level student so effectively has been invaluable. Tiby is thoughtful, trustworthy, creative, and truly gifted at working with children. Any family would be lucky to have her, and we recommend her wholeheartedly. -Alisha Fernandez
