April 10, 2014 To Whom It May Concern: I have been asked to write a letter of recommendation for Tina A. It is with pleasure that I attempt this task. I am a special educator. I work in a Preschool program. This preschool services many preschool students with varying abilities and needs. I have had the unique opportunity to know Tina as an aide in the school where I work, as an aide in my classroom, as an aide in the summer program where I am the on-site director, and, as a mother of a special needs child. When I first met Tina she was an aide for a severely handicapped young boy. She handled him with ease. She was always by his side, upbeat, engaging, and a professional I admired. His parents adored Tina and the relationship she had with their child. In my classroom, which housed 12 developmentally delayed students, Tina was my aide, and she was indispensable. She came to work each day ready to help wherever I needed. She was my "right hand woman." She anticipated my every move and was there to help. She knew the students in the classroom well, and was able to adapt any task to help them. She took my guidance with ease and expanded on everything I asked improving everything I did. She loved the students and they loved her. She was a true professional when interacting with the students, their parents, and the other professionals in our building. Tina also worked in our summer program, where I am the onsite director. In the summer, the children who attend are at risk of substantially regressing over the summer months. Tina was quick to work with the students, come up with ideas to enhance their learning, and loved the students as much as they loved her. She was hard working and independent, always coming in early and leaving after helping organize the busy classroom, getting it ready for the next day. She gave above and beyond, just as she had during the school year. As a special education assistant in the other classes, multi-handicapped classrooms, the teachers there admired her work ethics also. Having had the opportunity to experience Tina through the eyes of an onsite director, I enjoyed the positive comments that were made in regards to her abilities. The teachers and staff enjoyed her enthusiasm and love of teaching. She was a true team player. She got along well with the staff, students, and parents. All who met her enjoyed her company, insight, and compassion. Lastly, Tina is the parent of a special needs young man. He is a wonderful young man, and I attribute his immense progress to her love and understanding. Tina is one super person; I admire her so very much! Tina would be an asset to any school and I highly recommend her as a qualified addition to any community. Her energy and vitality is unsurpassed. Thank you, Carol V.
