I have 9+ years of experience in caregiving. I'm a nurturing person, and caregiving comes naturally to me. I enjoy helping people and caring for others and like to see a smile on their face at the end of the day. I have experience with hospice, SCI, dementia/ Alzheimer's, mental health disorders, autism, paraplegia, Parkinson's, cancer, MS, etc. I've worked with all ages but most with elderly patients. Working in hospitals, nursing homes/ private care facilities, and private in home care. Skilled with medication administration, hoyer lifts, transferring, g-tube care/ feeding, trach care and cleaning, catheter care, incontinence, wound care, among many other skills. I also am able to cook and provide companionship as well as light housekeeping. I do have a lot of experience with dementia/Alzheimer's and am familiar with sundowning among other things that can occur as dementia progresses, and I am CPR/ first aid trained.
