I have tutored privately for over 18 years. I have worked with a variety of ages and and abilities. I would say I specialize in reading and math for struggling elementary age students. Many of my life experiences have lead to my love of tutoring. I have a background in Elementary Education and experience in the public schools for over 5 years. The typical student does not exist in my opinion, each child is unique and will have a unique learning style. I believe I am very intuitive about learning styles and teach to each students strengths. I truly believe building confidence and experiencing success is something each child deserves and is the foundation of being a life long learner. Nothing makes me happier than seeing my students start believing that they can and will accomplish whatever it is they struggle with.
