About Tyria

I am a 19-year-old college student home for the summer. I just finished my first year at Indian University of Pennsylvania and I am majoring in Sociology. I hope to further my education down the road and become a social worker. I grew up with a big family which is where my love for helping and caring for kids started. I would watch my siblings and cousins when I was old enough. At 16 I started babysitting for family friends and neighbors. Summer of 2022 I babysat for a family with 2 young girls for about 4 months. Last year I also worked at an after school program working with elementary students. Through the same after school program I was a camp counselor at their camp they host in the summer, 2 years in a row. I enjoyed being able to spend time with the kids for a whole week. I am very passionate about providing the best care and have a genuine love for working with children. I believe my creativity, patience, and dedication make me an ideal candidate for this position.
