About Ugochi

Hello! I'm a graduate student in Public Health with a passion for caregiving and promoting healthy lifestyles. I've spent the past few years working with kids from toddlers to early elementary school age. I've helped with schoolwork, reading practice, and activities, and I've also managed busy schedules with sports, lessons, and playdates. I've traveled with families as well, so I'm used to keeping routines steady even when things are changing around the children. I came to the U. S. from Nigeria for college, and I enjoy sharing parts of my culture with kids, such as trying a new dish, telling them some Nigerian folklore, or listening to music together. I think it's essential for children to be exposed to different perspectives, and I love being able to bring that into their world in small, fun ways. I also enjoy using my science knowledge and background to encourage the curiosity of the children that I care for.
