About Valerie

I believe in creating a safe environment through educational and fun activities! I am the mother of a 9-month-old. My interest with childcare began when I was teenager and has expanded since becoming a mother. At 14 years old I received my Babysitting and CPR certification from Red Cross. I am passionate about Art, Music, Health, Safety, and the Environment. In my early twenties I began working as a group leader at an after school program in Glen Cove, NY. I helped Elementary children, grades 2nd through 5th, with their homework. I guided recreational activities such as kickball and basketball. I led the Art Club where students would engage in themed projects once a week. I am currently certified in CPR and have undergone NYS Early Childhood Education Training Program. I have also worked for the Salvation Army, watching over children in foster care.
