About Vanessa

Vanessa T. cared for my two-year-old daughter for 4.5 hours while I worked from home during a preschool closure, and I could not have been more impressed. She arrived exactly on time and immediately began building a connection with my daughter, who is typically very slow to warm up to new people. To my surprise, my daughter was happily interacting and playing with Vanessa within 30 minutes. Vanessa has an incredibly calm, gentle presence and a soothing voice that children naturally respond to. She spent the entire time actively engaged with my daughter—painting on the patio, coloring with chalk, playing with stickers, crayons, and dolls, and dancing to music. There was absolutely no screen time, and I never once saw Vanessa look at her phone. As a parent, I felt completely comfortable having Vanessa care for my toddler. She was attentive, patient, and genuinely interested in my daughter's well-being. She even accomplished what can feel impossible at times—getting my notoriously picky toddler to eat her lunch and drink water. At $35 per hour, I found her rate to be very fair for the exceptional care she provided. I would gladly hire Vanessa again and highly recommend her to any family looking for a reliable, engaged, and caring babysitter.
