About Virginia

I have raised two children of my own; they are old enough and they no longer need my care. I was employed for several years with Allen ISD, where I was privileged to work with children from kindergarten through 3rd grade level. My responsibilities were to assist and tutor at-risk children in their reading and comprehension skills. It was a great pleasure to be able to help these young ones to succeed in school. I have worked with various Care.com families for almost 5 years now. The children's ages range from infant to 10 years of age. I transported children from home to school and picked up from school. I cared for them after-school, took them to their activities, and doctor's and therapist's appointments. I helped with homework, cooked light meals for them until their parents came home. I enjoy interacting, reading, and teaching children. I have worked with various families with Care.com, which duties included pickup from school, transport to after school activities, preparing light snacks and light meals for children, and help out/tutor children with on homework. I worked with children with autism. I assisted children in wheelchair. I have experience with infants and toddlers as well. I also work for various families in the area on an as needed basis, date night, etc.
