About Wanda

As a woman raised in a Christian home, I learned during my childhood to love my neighbor as I love myself, and to serve those in need with compassion. I had 3 grandmothers and two grandfathers. And that was the first influence I had to realize that I feel very compassionate about the elderly and that it feels like a mission to help them to feel comfortable or to find joy despite their fragility or dependence. About 3 years ago I met two neighbors. Two wonderful ladies in their mid- nineties (one of them live downstairs, literally) and have spent time giving them companionship regularly and care as needed. I have had the same opportunity with a longtime friend who is in her eighties and that I love very much. My job experiences are mostly in business administration, but circumstances in life have opened my eyes and interest toward the most vulnerable population. I have decided to follow my heart where I can feel inner fulfillment contributing in more meaningful ways to others.
