Wendy came into our lives after in June 2018. The loss of my grandmother had left my mom in a situation of being alone for the first time in over 30 years. Wendy has been a true gift. She is a caring, compassionate caretaker and a wonderful companion for my mom while I am at work during the day. She does everything from running errands/shopping, light housework, cooking and meal prep, to helping my mom with her showers. We have been truly blessed to have her in our life.

My husband and I were caring for my mother in our home and struggling to cover all the bases. During a routine office visit, I vented my frustration to my personal physician regarding my inability to find in-home, affordable care for my eighty-eight year old mother. He had his staff give me Wendy's business card. Upon meeting Wendy, I instantly knew that she was a compassionate and skilled caregiver. Her bright, positive personality was a breath of fresh air in what had previously been an extremely stressful and exhausting period of months for me. My mother was a strong-willed woman who, without hesitation, voiced her displeasure at having "strangers" coming in and out of our home attending to matters. Within two days of starting her position with us, Wendy and my mother were like old buddies. Wendy's experience and perseverance were two main factors in making our "less than perfect" living arrangement doable again. Mom had companionship throughout the day, wholesome meals prepared and her personal needs attended to. I had the peace of mind knowing that my mother, suffering with moderate dementia, was not alone or in danger of a fall while we were not at home. Without the benefit of Wendy's care, experience and knowledge, I may have been forced to place my mother in a facility to keep her safe. Thankfully, with Wendy's help, we were able to keep mom in our home and beautifully cared for. Mom's VA physician called me after mom's passing to extend his condolences. During the conversation he said, "You know, if you hadn't brought her into your home, she would have never lived to see ninety-years old".  I knew what he said was true, but I also know I couldn't have done it without Wendy.

Wendy is a kind, compassionate caregiver who treats her clients as she would treat her own family. She is a tireless advocate, always focused what is best for those in her care. I would not hesitate for a moment to engage her services, knowing that she goes above and beyond expectations!

Wendy came to take care of  Granny during the last months of her life when she was 104-1/2.  At that time Granny would  hallucinate and when she did so was prone to hurting herself by falling down.  We soon needed round the clock care for her and managed to find a lady who wanted to live in. Wendy covered two or three days a week to give the other lady some time off.

She was wonderful and Granny loved her.  Every morning she would wash every inch of granny, massaging her back with creams afterwards and tending to any bedsores which were trying to develop.  It made granny feel so much more comfortable and she loved all the attention.  Her professionalism was something we came to rely on. She was so experienced doing this job and knew exactly what needed to be done to make Granny more secure and comfortable.  She cleaned, she cooked tempting lunches and got Granny to eat when she wouldn't do it for anyone else.  She coaxed her into taking pills when needed. A small anecdote which demonstrates the depth of her understanding...there came a day when Granny wouldn't let her remove her nightdress because she said there were lots of people in the room, including some strange man.  Wendy tried to wash her but nothing doing.  Finally, in exasperation, with arms akimbo, Wendy turned around, and said in a loud voice to the empty room I want all of you out of here NOW!  They apparently scuttled and she was able to do her job.  It was so Wendy of her to do that! She is a professional through and through, but at the same time a compassionate, understanding and loving lady and we recommend her most highly and without any reservation whatsoever.
