About Whitney

Hi there! My name is Whitney and I am a creative and curious 36-year-old educator. After several years working in accounting and feeling a bit unfulfilled I decided to go back to school for a degree in elementary education in 2017. I love working with children and helping them to explore the world. I am a licensed elementary teacher in California and Oregon, CPR certified, have my own car and extensive experience driving children through the ride-share service (over 500 rides). My focus is on giving your child(ren) a safe, routine, and creative space to learn and grow. I love hands-on and active pursuits such as crafting, baking, science experiments, imaginative play, outings to the park, museums, etc. I am firm but kind and will always communicate any successes or challenges we may have. In my personal time I enjoy cooking and baking, reading (goal of 36 books for 36 years), gardening, travel, and spending time with my friends and family.
