 I am Yasmeen, but kids call me Yaz if easier, I am a first generation American, I am Nigerian and Austrian, born&raised in Seattle, and just might be your next nanny! I love kids of all personalities, I have 5 years experience of watching kids from care, friends families, and my twin siblings, after a year I realized this is what I love to do for supplemental income. I walk so much it should be a religion by now, growing up my mom never had a car, so I'm used to walking and daily exercise. She also made us eat fruits and veggies daily, which I now try and incorporate in the meals I make for kids I care for. As a strong woman I have high values, I'm a very kindhearted, caring person, I love kids, animals, nature,(food), I love learning about new cultures and I think going out to see the world is a beautiful thing especially through a child's eyes. Yasmeen has cared for our kids (toddler and preschool age) on a couple occasions. With only a “crash course” orientation to their daily routines and our home, she was able to jump right in. She even got our youngest to fall asleep independently for a nap in just a few minutes— I feat us parents have yet to replicate. We’d absolutely recommend her. 

Yasmeen worked with our family for 6 months, helping us care for our 2.5-year-old toddler and infant twins.

Our twins were premature and had some additional medical needs, and Yasmeen quickly learned how to care for them and became incredibly comfortable with their routines. One of our twins has medically complex feeding needs and requires tube feeds throughout the day. Yasmeen learned how to operate the feeding pump, prepare and administer feeds, follow a detailed feeding schedule, and recognize when something wasn’t quite right. She became very comfortable managing this care independently, which was incredibly valuable to us. She also helped us with torticollis exercises and helmet management for plagiocephaly for our other twin.

Yasmeen is highly energetic and has a total “Ms. Rachel effect” on the kids she cares for. I would constantly hear her singing songs, reading books, and coming up with developmentally appropriate activities for the twins. She was incredibly engaged with them and genuinely enjoyed spending time with them. She also attended several doctors’ appointments with us and met with our speech-language therapist and physical therapists so she could better understand and support the twins’ care plans.

During nap times, Yasmeen would help tidy the house, do laundry, help with dishes, wash bottles, and prepare bottles for the twins for the following day. She also spent time with our dog, who has social anxiety, and completely won him over. We regularly paid her overtime to help with household cleaning, and she was incredibly thorough. She was constantly taking initiative and looking for ways to lessen my load as a busy mom of three little ones.

Yasmeen is an excellent nanny who brought so much energy, care, and value to our entire family. She is incredibly dependable, flexible, and willing to learn whatever is needed to care for children. I would absolutely recommend her to any family looking for a loving, engaged, and capable nanny.

Yasmeen has been a tremendous addition to our lives. She has been caring for our son for the last 4 months and we are torn about making this upcoming transition to a bilingual immersion school. Yasmeen is incredibly reliable and communicative, sharing details, photos an updates throughout the day along with a summary of the day at the end of each day. Our son also loves her and excitedly runs to the door each day when Yasmeen arrives, which we found to be really amazing and completely unexpected. We are able to be completely hands-off during the entire day (if needed) and love that Yasmeen keeps our son's day incredibly rich with gymnastics classes, zoo and aquarium excursions, multiple trips to the beach and parks, etc. Yasmeen is also a joy to have around the house and extremely easy to communicate with. We highly recommend her as your next childcare provider. 

Losing Yasmeen as our nanny is the greatest grief of our upcoming move. Over the past four months of part-time care she has proven herself to be a reliable, responsible, and compassionate nanny, one who consistently goes above and beyond to ensure both our baby & our home are well cared for and LOVED. She is proactive (oftentimes offering support we didn’t even know we needed!), thoughtful (sharing observations and suggestions that have improved all of our quality of life), creative (she’s constantly coming up with new ways to make our notoriously difficult-to-giggle girl laugh!), and perhaps most importantly she is clearly passionate about her work. Our daughter has faced multiple challenges in her short life, but Yasmeen has met each and every one of them with grace, patience, and compassionate care. Both I and my husband feel more comfortable than we could have ever imagined leaving our baby in her care, and it feels telling that our daughter absolutely beams whenever she walks through the door! We are going to miss her SO much; Yasmeen has been truly outstanding in every sense of the word, and any family would be lucky to have her as their nanny!

Our experience with Yasmeen has been delightful. From the age of 6 months to well over 1 year, she proved to be a hardworking and engaging caregiver, creating a nurturing environment for our little one with enjoyable activities throughout the day. Her boundless energy and genuine love for our child made her an invaluable presence in our family.

Yasmeen was with us for just over a year full time while we worked from home during the early days of the pandemic. She took amazing care of our little one, getting her outside on walks to the park every day, doing lots of activities, along with handling the needs of a 1 year-old (naps, feeds, diapers). She was also really considerate around masking and keeping our child safe with Covid. We since moved our child into daycare, but appreciate the year Yasmeen was with us.

Yasmeen was such a pleasure to work with! We needed childcare last minute and we're so glad Yasmeen answered our ad. She was early and so professional. She took amazing care of our little and kept us updated throughout the day with pictures and videos. I highly recommend Yasmeen if you're looking for a great nanny/sitter!

She has the best fun and loving energy! My kids immediately loved her and she played with them actively the entire time. Can't tell you how relaxing it was to have her here and overhear tons of baby giggles!!

Yasmeen was our full time nanny for 9 months beginning when our son was 9 months old - 18 months old. She was absolutely fantastic and our son completely loves her! She strives to truly understand each child, which led her to become an excellent communicator with our toddler. She's very active and took our son outdoors every day regardless of the weather. She was always professional, courteous, and very understanding. We were sad to see her go, but excited that she chose to focus more on her education. We highly recommend Yasmeen.

Yaz is a very good child care provider.  She is warm and attentive, knows her charge, and does her work with care and quality.  She is professional, which comes across by her being on time, expecting to be respected for her work, and her attention to the child.  She was more than able to listen to our wishes, directions, information, worries, etc., but all the time she had her eyes and ears attuned to the child and his present needs.  It was clear that Yaz has considerable experience with children; she was creative with activities, observant and articulate about what she saw.  Maybe most importantly, our child loved Yaz, from the moment she appeared to long after she left.  Yaz is easy to work with, tries hard to do a very good job (which she does!), and is a delightful person.  Highly recommended!

Yasmeen has been our nanny for 6 months and she is fantastic. We have 2 toddlers, ages 1 and 2, and also an energetic dog. It really is chaos sometimes and Yasmeen can absolutely handle it. She can solve problems that come up. She's also a good listener, so I always know things are being done how I want them to be done. One of my kids is more of an introvert, and not always keen on new people. At the start Yasmeen was very intuitive and let my child warm up at her own pace. That saved me a lot of anxiety, to say the least. Yasmeen is very involved with the kids. They read books, go to the park, sing songs. Yasmeen truly enjoys her work. We've been lucky to have her!

Yasmeen is timely and professional. She has a fun, but calm presence with children, and the ability to be flexible with their needs.

I really liked the first contact we had on the phone : she was prompt to call me back we she missed my call and was really enthusiastic and energetic. As the days we needed care did not match with her availability we did not go beyond the phone interview but I would definitely schedule an in-person interview if our nanny needs increase.
