About Zelia

I'd describe my personality as responsible, open-minded, and positive. I like working with kids because I feel that I can learn from kids as they can hopefully learn from me. I enjoy the opportunity to see the world from a different perspective as I care for them. I am empathetic and a natural problem-solver. I want to make a positive impact on younger generations by creating a space that fosters creativity, curiosity, and joy. I started working with kids when I was 12. I have since worked many babysitting jobs and have been a camp counselor for many years. I also have two younger siblings, so I grew up understanding how to communicate with people younger than me. In my spare time, I like to play guitar, read, take walks, and spend time with friends. I am a student at Macalester College, and I am studying Sociology and Spanish. My skills include organization, effective communication, and quick thinking. I am good at solving issues quickly so that everyone is safe and happy.
