Let your freak flag fly! We're bringing life to everyone's favorite fairy tale creatures for our 2026 Broadway Stars Mainstage Production, SHREK: THE MUSICAL JR.! Join our talented cast of young performers and learn how theater can make everyone the hero of their own story! Broadway Stars was created by a professional performer turned child development specialist with the primary goal of helping children develop the foundational skills and technique every musical theater performer needs while giving them the opportunity to find their voice, build confidence, and do what every budding Broadway Star loves most: PERFORM! Classes are taught by a team of professional teaching artists with years of experience both in the classroom and on professional stages, and feature a customized curriculum designed to challenge and showcase the strengths of each young performer. PRODUCTION ADMIN FEE INCLUDES: *2 Full Cast Rehearsals *Tech Week Rehearsals *4 tickets to our production (Additional tickets will be available to purchase closer to the performance) *Scripts & other class materials *Costumes (Families will NOT be asked to go out and purchase items for the show but may be asked to bring clothing you already own.) *Props & Sets *Week Long Rental at The Biograph Theater AFTER SCHOOL PICK-UP: Stages offers after school pick-up from Skinner West, Skinner West Branch, Montessori Academy of Chicago, Intercultural Montessori & World Language Academy. Pick-up will be approximately 20min before the start of class to give us enough time to gather students and walk over to Soul City. WHAT TO EXPECT: --Weeks 1-2 (Jan 5 - Jan 17): Setting the Stage— Families who are new to Stages are invited to join us for a FREE TRIAL the week of January 6-11, 2025. The first two weeks of the semester will focus on learning and perfecting the foundational musical theater skills every Broadway Star needs when performing on stage. Classes will participate in acting games and begin to learn music and choreography for their auditions. These first two weeks of the semester also allow our teachers to get to know students and start to determine which scenes, songs, and roles will be the best fit for each child. --Weeks 3-4 (Jan 19 - Jan 31): I Hope I Get It!-- During weeks 3-4 of the semester, students will participate in a personalized audition process. Auditions at Stages are designed to be a low stress, fun experience where Broadway Stars get to show off what they’ve been learning the first few weeks of the semester and tell us what they are most excited to do in the show. Every audition will look different as every child is different. For children who are new to performing or nervous about auditioning, this will be an informal, low-stakes experience. For children who are older, have been performing for a while, or are ready for a challenge, this will be treated as a more formal audition. How Does This Work? Each class will be assigned specific scenes and songs from from our musical, not the entire musical. Classes will come together for the final performance to perform the show in its entirety. EVERY CHILD WILL BE GIVEN A ROLE OR SPECIAL PART IN THE SHOW. We will work together with participants to make sure they have a speaking line, solo, duet, etc. that they are excited to perform! --Weeks 5-12 (Feb 2 - Mar 21): Putting It Together-- During Weeks 5-12, children will begin putting together their show! Each week, classes will work on their assigned scenes and songs. During these classes, we will focus on learning and rehearsing musical numbers and choreography, blocking acting scenes, and introducing various theatrical elements that will be used in our show such as sets, props, and costumes. Don’t worry, it’s not all work. Classes will also have the opportunity to play theater games designed to introduce new performance skills and brush up on concepts we’ve learned in previous classes. --Weeks 13-16 (April 6 - April 25): Prepping for Opening Night-- Classes will begin running doing “Run Thrus” where they perform all of their scenes and songs from start to finish. We’ll also start adding in transitions so performers know when and how to enter/exit the stage, when to get microphones, make a costume change, or pick up a prop from the prop table. These classes are VERY important and we ask that you do your best to ensure your child is at every class unless they are ill. --Week 17: Tech Week– Monday, April 27 - Thursday, April 30 The week of the show, we will be having rehearsal after school April 27 - April 30 where ALL of the classes are brought together to run the show in the space. These rehearsals will be MANDATORY. *Students in K-2 Classes will not be required to attend every night during tech week. Dates will be confirmed mid-March to give families plenty of time to make arrangements to ensure their child’s attendance. Alice is so excited to offer classes this Winter at We Rock the Spectrum! Music with Alice, a 40-45 minute family music class, welcomes babies, toddlers and preschoolers along with their parents, grandparents and caregivers to come together every week to sing together! These special classes will include an hour of gym time at We Rock the Spectrum (built in to the price of each class.) *Siblings under 1 years of age are free! Please just let me know you are bringing them! * **Babies under 1 that come alone MUST register.** ***WRTS gym members can request a code to deduct the cost of the open gym.*** These classes are highly engaging to all ages, as Alice teaches everyone finger play activities, hand movements, lap songs, call and response singing and a big jam at the end with shakers and kids instruments.* (*Participants are encouraged to bring their own instruments to class) Each class is full of music from the folk tradition that are so simple with lyrics and movements easy enough for both baby, toddler, and adult to learn. These classes have a flow that allows quiet soothing and also lots of movement and big fun! These classes encourage bonding and create special memories that will last forever after the class. We believe that all children should experience authentic music making which will increase the whole family’s musical confidence and give them a healthy relationship to music at an early age.

Parent Night Out will take place on selected evenings of every month from 6:00 - 8:00 pm (or as noted) and will incorporate many types of fine arts over the course of the school year....visual arts. All while parents enjoy a night out! Cost per event is $40 per child, $37 for additional children FROM THE SAME FAMILY. Kids will enjoy 2 hours of Art and Art related Activities!Parent Night Out is designed for parents to drop off kids while they go out for a dinner, meet up with friends, run errands or enjoy some alone time :) Parent Night Out... aka PNO... is a drop off program & for ages 4 and older. A teacher led art project, a fun themed craft, time for a snack (please bring your own snack & water) are included in our 2.5 hours together. Kids enjoy stations as well as several art projects during their 2 hours of fun at the Art Studio! Groups will be separated by age & grade level, so students can make new friends and work on age appropriate art projects. We are offering 11 different art camps/ new curriculum for Art Camps this summer. Art Camp at All Things Art Studio is the best way to experience total immersion in a summer art program! It's fun & and students get a chance to delve into their creative selves without crazy time restraints. Students will also get to Tie Dye an All Things Art Studio Camp Shirt (or other item for repeat campers) on Day 1! (included in the fee of camp). In the mornings, they will be working on individual projects, and the afternoon art academy will give them a relaxed but focused exercise in fine arts. There will be landscape drawing and painting, and still life exploration. We explore drawing, clay, printmaking, textiles, weaving, watercolor, acrylics, tempera paint, glazing & more! We will work with canvas, clay, watercolor, tissue paper and many other types of medium as well. Every camp is a different curriculum, so please register for as many as you can :) It's an amazing week for students, they meet and make new art friends and enjoy the warm summer weather. Bring a sack lunch each day and a water bottle, We will have outdoor lunch & walk in the neighborhood- plus outdoor "en plain air" instruction in their daily journal/ sketchbook. Bring it on! Some of our Elementary, Middle School and High School groups will be offered at the same times & days (convenient for families with older & younger children). But the Camps will be separated by the groups and have different curriculum and locations within the studio. (MS/HS have a seperate registration with separate curriculum)

Each week, our littlest Broadway fans and caregivers are introduced to exciting new songs, characters, and stories as Broadway Musicals are brought to life by a team of professional teaching artists. Created by a professional performer turned early childhood development specialist, Broadway & Me's unique curriculum is both entertaining and developmentally appropriate. Each class incorporates activities that are designed to support your little one’s physical, cognitive, social-emotional, and language development.

Looking for an After School Program that keeps the kids active and outside year round? Field & Forest Club is a balance of farm chores, outdoor adventure, classic literature, and folk songs--like going to the grandparent's farm and learning things of lasting value. New in 2026 - we're a 4H Club, too!

We are excited to share the week being creative, building community and friendships. Drop off is from 9am-9:30 and pick up is anytime between 2:30-3:00pm. During our days at Hilltop Creative Camp we will start our mornings off with free exploration, morning greetings, snack and an indoor creative activity. Nature is a huge focus of Hilltop Creative. We will have outdoor adventures on neighborhood hike's and visit our local playgrounds Bernal Heights, Holly Park or St Mary's. Towards the end of the day we will come together to be indoors and we will have an afternoon snack provided by Hilltop Creative for the campers.

Welcome to Racquets & Swim New this summer we are expanding racquet sports to include pickle ball, badminton, and table tennis. Footsteps Child Care, in partnership with the City of Belmont, and support from the USTA NorCal, will again offers the H.I.T.S. tennis program. This program combines the challenge and fun of playing tennis with the educational and character-building aspects of team sports in a cooperative team environment to foster sportsmanship, integrity, camaraderie, responsibility, positive self-esteem, and social skills. All participants receive an H.I.T.S. t-shirt, wristband, ball, certificate, players/parents manual and more!!!

At Singing Sensations Camp, we blend the magic of music with the fun of visual art. Campers will explore their favorite musicians, musicals, and kids’ movies, turning iconic songs and characters into vibrant works of art. Each day, campers dive into hands-on projects inspired by the sounds they love. The club is for kids grades K-5 to learn yoga and mindfulness in a playful environment. Yoga poses are learned, games are played, and music is used to promote both laughter and stillness.
