About Annalise

Hi! I'm a preschool teacher who loves helping kids feel safe, confident, and free to be themselves. My favorite way to describe my approach is: I enter their world and help them explore it. I have extensive experience with ages 3-5, including special needs experience, emotion regulation, potty training, and caring for up to 14 children independently. I'm especially passionate about understanding and de-escalating challenging behavior. I get on a child's level, help them feel understood, and focus on regulation before addressing the behavior. I believe behavior is often a child's way of asking for help-and trust is the foundation for everything. I'm also pretty silly! I love Legos, pretend play, hide-and-seek, sensory activities, obstacle courses, playground adventures, and joining kids in their imaginary worlds. My goal is to treat every child with the same care and respect I'd want for my own: fostering confidence, competence, and a genuine sense of safety.
